Even though it was the largest advertising agency in Iowa, owned by the largest agency in the US, it didn't act like it. It was a point of pride that the client's account service and creative team "got their boots muddy" to understand what people in the target audiences were facing and what they did to overcome them.

Our agency was founded in 1987 by a woman with a vision – at a time when women did not have access to organizational decision-making. We’ve been about breaking barriers ever since. Vision Development Services, a fundraising consulting firm specializing in faith-based nonprofits, grew to enjoy international impact in the 1990s and 2000s. Combining our values with marketing, branding, and fundraising expertise has led 1Vision Communications to live out our tagline, ‘Doing Great for Those Who Do Good,’ for nonprofits and small businesses, locally and nationally.
"Be Thou my vision, O Lord of my heart"
Those are the opening words from a traditional Christian hymn dating back to an Irish folk song. The lyrics and the sentiment had a significant role in naming our agency. 1Vision rebranded in 2014 combining its two original divisions: Vision Media Services and Vision Development Services. Below you can see how our logo has kept pace with the times, while always revering the central 'vision.' Our present version is crisp and forward-facing – two things we hope to be.
